Liverpool left-back Paul Konchesky is rumoured to be on his way back to Fulham following a disastrous spell at the Anfield club.
The unpopular defender, who was signed by ex-boss Roy Hodgson on a four-year deal, has failed to make the Liverpool squad following Kenny Dalglish’s emotional return as manager.
Since Dalglish took over, the Scot has opted to play right-back Glen Johnson in Konchesky’s position with Fabio Aurelio on the bench.
The club’s 59-year-old boss is also thought to be looking to bring Aston Villa defender Stephen Warnock back to Liverpool on loan until the end of the season.
Now it seems like the Londoner’s time at Anfield will be coming to a premature end with former club Fulham his likely destination.
The Cottagers lost to Liverpool last night and it’s understood representatives for the club were in the city to negotiate a deal.
Konchesky has been hugely unpopular on the red half of Merseyside since he signed in August – failing to perform during Hodgson’s short-lived reign.
But it was the 29-year-old’s mum Carol who essentially sealed his fate when she wrote a foul-mouthed Facebook post about Liverpool fans, referring to them as “scouse scum”.
