A Range Rover famously whammed by notorious bad driver George Michael is up for sale – on Auto Trader.
He crashed the £80,000 off-roader into an articulated lorry in August 2009 – only a few months after regaining his license following a two-year ban.
Eyewitnesses feared Michael, 47, had been seriously injured in the smash on the A34 in Berkshire but he emerged unscathed – although the luxury motor was written off.
He spent five hours at a police station being questioned on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol but was released without charge.
But despite being an insurance write-off, the 2007 Range Rover has undergone a drastic overhaul to look like a 2010 model.
DAVID BECKHAM’S BELOVED PORSCHE FOR SALE
It has been re-bodied, fitted with new wheels and suspension as part of a £15,000 project. Funky features include Freeview TV, Harmon Kardon sound system and a roaring 4.4-litre V8 engine.
The Range Rover, which now looks as good as new, is for sale through Nightingale Autos on the Auto Trader website for just £20,995.
Dealer David Nightingale said: ”It’s a rare opportunity to own a car owned by a world famous celebrity.
”It’s undergone a huge restoration project to look like a 2010 model and has been finished in the most sought-after colour – you won’t find another in Fuji white for less than £30,000.
”The car is for sale at a trade price and, considering its history, the new owner has the potential to make a lot of money on it.”
JOHN LENNON’S FERRARI AT AUCTION
Serial motoring offender Michael is currently three-months into a FIVE-YEAR driving ban after crashing ANOTHER one of his Range Rovers into a photo-processing shop while under the influence of cannabis.
The singer was sentenced to eight-weeks in prison for the offence – the latest in a long line of run-ins with the police.
Multi-millionaire Michael wrote off his BMW in 2004 and in 2006 he was involved in FOUR separate motoring incidents – two crashes and two drug-related incidents.
