Christmas is coming and we’re getting excited here at Movey HQ… the festive season is a great time for spending time with loved ones and making videos of them!
We’ve put our thinking Santa caps on and come up with the 12 videos of Christmas to keep you entertained in the quieter moments of the festive season.
So, all together now…. on the Twelfth Day of Christmas My True Love YouTubed me:
12 toddlers explaining Christmas. Videos are fantastic at explaining the whys and hows of life and small children are often the funniest at describing things. Put the two together and have a laugh.

11 Christmas failures. You know the kind of thing; Santa falling over, dog runs into Christmas tree, more Santas falling over. This is a chance to pay homage to those magic embarrassing moments, captured forever. Visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shZafPmUVPg
10 “How to” videos. If you’re planning the perfect Christmas day, why not plan ahead and search for the perfect way to stuff the turkey or place the fairy on top of the tree. Videos are much more effective ways of showing you how to do things and that includes Christmas. Here’s an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFK3eqoK7oU
9 cats getting in the way. Cats and Christmas; what could go wrong? Watch this video to find out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pec2NvZKS2M
8 Christmas adverts. Who could forget the John Lewis Christmas Advert 2015. Video is a fantastic way of engaging on an emotional level with your audience and who could forget the man in the moon. Reminisce last year’s classic here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuz2ILq4UeA
7 happy grannies. Having granny around for Christmas and letting her open her present while being videoed can capture some gloriously happy family moments. You can see one happy granny here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjTqXsG_O2g
6 Christmas card videos. We think traditional cards have had their day, at least in a business scenario. Video Christmas cards are a fabulous way of engaging directly with whoever you want to. It’s in their inbox, not on the receptionist’s windowsill! Visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9HV1gTTdqo for an example
5 dogs causing chaos. The internet will be full to breaking point with videos of pooches with attitude. Our advice is to calm them down with a bit of music. Is there anything on YouTube? But of course! Visit here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5htkpw735E
4 disastrously wrapped presents. We’ve all been there, haven’t we? The fold that won’t go down, the inadvertent rip or sticky tape disasters. Don’t worry though, there’s a video or two to help. Click for some timely advice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fal72S6Hr7w
3 Santa Clauses. Everything from the oddest looking to the most disaster prone but did you know that the US Defence Department tracks Father Christmas on his delivery route around the world? Follow NORADTracksSanta here https://www.youtube.com/user/NORADTracksSanta for the up to date information on the big man’s travels.
2 pop videos. Music and videos go together like Santa and Rudolph with millions of people watching their favourite tracks. We reckon that Do They Know It’s Christmas, by Band Aid in 1984 is the best Christmas songhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjQzJAKxTrE
with Fairytale of New York a very close runner up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9jbdgZidu8 How about you?
1 wish for a happy Christmas and brilliant New Year to you. If it doesn’t go like clockwork, watch this video on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9PyW259YWY and wonder why parents bother at all sometimes!
