Nicole Kidman has spoken out about her adopted childrens’ decision to live with their father Tome Cruise since her divorce from the actor in 2001.
The 43-year-old actress told Hello! magazine about her sadness at Isabella, 18, and Connor, 15, living in Los Angeles with Cruise and his new wife Katie Holmes.
She said: “They live with Tom, which is their choice. I’d love them to live with us, but what can you do?”
Katie Holmes, who has a four-year-old daughter, Suri, with Cruise, has spoken publicly of her close relationship with the Cruise-Kidman children in the past, describing them as ‘amazing’ and telling a reporter they refer to her as ‘Mom’.
Nicole is now married to musician Keith Urban and the couple have a two-year-old daughter, Sunday Rose. The family live in Nicole’s native Sydney, Australia.
She told Hello! how having her younger daughter helps ease the pain of not seeing her eldest two, saying: “It’s a beautiful thing at 43 to have a two and a half year old.
