This incredible video of a mysterious dancing FIREBALL was filmed by a schoolgirl who spotted the strange orb outside her bedroom window.

Katie Real, 11, captured the bizarre ball of fire as it appeared to perform loop-the-loops in the sky.

The schoolgirl saw it as she went to shut the curtains in her home in Northampton on Saturday evening and filmed the spectacle on her laptop computer.

The 39-second clip shows a large ball of flame racing across the sky before dipping and diving close to hundreds of properties.

Katie’s mum Fiona Fearon, 30, said: “Katie was watching a film on her laptop in her bedroom when she went to close the curtains and she saw this weird fireball in the sky.

“She quickly pressed a button on her laptop to film it and when she showed it to me I was just amazed.

“Initially we thought it could be a plane on fire but it appeared to be dancing across the sky. It was an amazing site.

“It’s very weird. They were very excited by it. It looked like a ball of fire moving around in the sky.

“It just seems to sort of float there, spin around and then disappear behind a clump of trees.

“We have an airfield near our home and I rang them on Sunday morning asking them if the ball of light was anything to do with them but they said no.

“I’ve read about these strange lights appearing during thunder storms called ball lightning but there was not lightning on Saturday night so it’s a mystery.”

Katie added: “I was looking out my window and a large glowing ball of light caught my eye. It was moving very fast. I just grabbed by computer and started filming it.

“It was pretty scary and I’d love to know what it was. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
