The house where an American millionaire stabbed his wife to death is on the market – with £105,000 knocked off the original price.
Callous Harold Landry, 65, plunged a carving knife into wife Lucy 23 times after arguing with her over cash in their impending divorce settlement.
She stumbled outside their £800,000 mansion and managed to call for help after the attack on February 1 last year.
Landry was jailed for life last month and ordered to serve a minimum of 15 years in prison.
Today it emerged Landry’s five-bedroom luxury home in Pershore, Worcs., where the killing took place, is on the market.
Worcester Estate Agents Knight Frank are selling the property for a cut-down price of £695,000.
Despite the grisly past of the house a number of people, including wealthy families, have viewed it.
A spokeswoman said: ”Our main concern is selling the property as quickly as possible, as our vendor wants a quick sale.
”We of course tell people about the story of the house and lots of people are still very interested.”
In the particulars, the house is described as ”a handsome Cotswold stone family home with land and open countryside views.”
It has a hall, four reception rooms, kitchen breakfast room, utility room, cloakroom, an en-suite master bedroom and four additional guestrooms with two further bathrooms.
There is a double garage, gardens and a separate field running to more than an acre.
The 65-year-old millionaire, who made his fortune by designing hydraulic cranes for oil rigs, began a relationship with Lucy, originally from Wales, in 2000, after meeting her over the internet. He then moved to Britain and the pair married in 2002.
The Texan business-man, who has three grown up children in America, has a history of violence and was previously convicted for aggravated battery after shooting a former lovers boyfriend.
