It’s the season of brotherly love and these two German shorthaired Pointers are proving that you don’t have to be brothers to be best friends.
Travis, 10, and Gus, five, are the furry duo in this delightful shoot by Canadian photographer Steph McCombie, 33, and they are certainly getting into the festive spirit.
From their Instagram account, Travis and Gus share their ridiculously cute friendship with the world and – despite coming from different countries – they act like brothers.#
Sometimes they wear matching elf hats; wrap up warm in the snow together, get stuck in a holly wreath or pretend to be superheroes.
Other times, they just like to cuddle, have a tipple of gin, or even read the paper together.
And amazingly, they’ve only been canine companions for a year.
Steph says: “Gus took a few weeks to warm to Travis. He just kind of pretended Travis wasn’t here. Now they’re like brothers.
“I adopted Gus after falling in love with him on the website Pet Finder. He was only a nine month old puppy.
“They told me he had 48 hours left before they put him down, so I busted him out.
“I bought him a one way plane ticket to Vancouver and it’s been true love ever since.
“For a budding photographer they’re the best models a girl could hope for, and there’s lots of treats involved, so they’re very tolerant.”
