One man is rewarding Pokemon Go fans with real-life 3D printed models left across his hometown.
Kind-hearted Matthew Beaman, 36, has given followers an extra treat by hiding the figures at several Pokestops – and allowing people to keep their finds.
Pokemon Go has become a phenomenon in the UK since its release last week and Matthew said he was inspired to create the models by others in the 3D printing community.
But he decided to take the idea a step further by sending players on a treasure hunt for his green pocket-size figures using a Facebook group.
Matthew, from Ilfracombe, Devon, said: “I thought rather than leaving it just to chance I should let people have some fun with it.
“I did one last night and posted a picture of it just to see whether people would respond, and they did, so I though I would do a few more while I have the time.
“I know quite a few people who are going out and looking for them. I’ve had people shouting thank you at me in the street.”
Matthew said he was pleased to see so many people playing the game.
He added: “Everybody seems to be playing it and it’s getting people out of the house and enjoying the weather.”
