A man who triggered an alarm when he broke into a stable was caught by police having sex – with a HORSE.
Officers were summoned to a farm where they found a 26-year-old man in an ”exposed state” with an animal.
He was arrested on suspicion of having sexual intercourse with the horse at the stables in Clyst St Mary, Devon, at 11pm on Monday.
Police had already received reports from the owner who suspected the animal had been ”interfered with” on four occasions since December.
Vets have been to examine the horse and scenes of crime officers have also been called in to take forensic evidence.
Detective Sergeant Zoe Nowell, of Exmouth CID, said the owner became suspicious when she noticed that items had been moved inside the stable.
She said: ”We had the alarm fitted and officers made a silent, rapid response when it was triggered.”
