A man was caught romping with a 14-year-old girl when his girlfriend saw through a hotel WINDOW.
Pervy James Hudson, 27, was caught in a ”compromising” position after leaving the curtains open at a budget Travelodge.
Hudson took the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, to the £19-a-night hotel after meeting her in the pub.
But when furious girlfriend Katie Lucas, 25, stormed round to the hotel she spotted the pair having sex through a window.
Jobless Hudson admitted two charges of sexual activity with a child when he appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Tuesday.
He also admitted driving while disqualified.
Judge Judge Richard Griffith-Jones said although Hudson had not groomed the girl the law was there to ”protect children from themselves”.
Sentencing Hudson to 22 months in prison, he said: ”She [the victim] was a full and enthusiastic participant, and it was not the first time she had had sexual relationships.
”The law is there to protect children from themselves as well as from the defendant.”
Hudson was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for 10 years.
The court heard Husdon, from Nuneaton, Warks., met the girl in a pub on February 21 after he had a row with Miss Lucas.
The pair left the pub together before he drove to a shop where he bought condoms, cigarettes and booze.
He then drove to a Travelodge on the A444 near Nuneaton and booked them into a room for the night.
Iain Willis, prosecuting, said: ”When he [Hudson] did not get home his girlfriend Katie Lucas, who had not gone out with him because they had had a falling out, went to look for him with his sister.
”They tracked him down to the Travelodge where they found a room booked in his name and when they knocked on the room window they could see him and the girl in a compromising position.”
Initially the girl told her family Hudson had raped her but later admitted she had consented to sex.
Judge Griffith-Jones told him: ”Your counsel has made a thorough and eloquent submission on your behalf, but I simply cannot overlook this.
”The truth is that you had sex with a child – she was just 14 – in circumstances where you had both been drinking, and you went to some lengths to make sure you could have sexual relationships.”
