A man has been arrested on suspicion of making explosive sex toys with the intent of sending them to his ex-girlfriend.
Terry Allen Lester, 37, is believed to have wedged gunpowder, buck shot and BB shot into a vibrator
Police claim Lester was planning to send out three of the sex toys to former girlfriends as Christmas presents.
Authorities were alerted to the situation when Lester was kicked out of the residence he was staying at with two women.
However, he left one of his bags – and told one of the women of the contents. The shocked woman contacted the police and took them to officer Kari Kalow.
One of the bags contained a box labelled ‘Christmas Gifts’ – and in there were the three sex toys.
One of the toys is alleged to have been filled with gunpowder and and ball bearings. It was hooked up to wiring and an empty battery port.
The bomb squad arrived and removed the contents of the potentially explosive sex toys.
Lester was arrested and has been charged with felony creation, possession of an explosive or incendiary device and felony terroristic threats.
If found guilty, the Minnesota man faces a maximum of 10 years imprisonment and a £13,000 fine.
