Head to the beach at Weston for breathtaking sand art with a ‘Great Britain’ theme this summer. North Somerset Council is hosting its annual sculpture event at Weston-super-Mare for the fifth year running.
This year’s festival is all about Great Britain. Visitors will be able to see outstanding sculptures of a variety of things associated with Great Britain – from the legendary and famous to the quirky and eccentric
Sculptures include Little Britain’s Andy and Lou created by Artist Baldrick Buckle – bigger than life Andy in his wheelchair with Lou pushing. The 10ft tall creation was carved from compacted sand then sprayed with diluted glue to bind.
The Sand Sculpture Festival in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, includes works featuring Prince Charles and The Beatles.
