Katie Price could be in line to join Simon Cowell as a judge on the UK version of X Factor.
The music mogul, who has refused to confirm the judging panel for the 2011 series, hinted in an interview with The Daily Star Sunday that he would consider offering Katie the job.
He said: “Do I want [Katie] as a judge on the X Factor panel? Yeah, that could work. Why not? I like her as a person. In fact I’d even go as far as to say she’s my woman of the decade.”
His close friend and X Factor guest mentor Sinitta refused to quash speculation, saying: “Having [Katie] on the panel would make interesting viewing, so I can definitely see it working.
“She can do anything she puts her mind to. She’s got the personality that would fit the role perfectly. Simon really likes her as well. There’s no denying they get along.”
Simon is rumoured to be planning a radical shake-up of the show, and he may be taking on a lesser role in the panel so he can concentrate his efforts on launching the show in the US.
Last week he told reporters: “I think there are going to be a few surprises. I genuinely do. I don’t think there’s one way of doing [the show].”
He also confirmed that no judges’ contracts have been finalised.
