The student who made THAT sexy see-through Kate Middleton dress today unveiled her own design – for the future Queen’s wedding dress.
Talented Charlotte Todd, 31, sketched out how she would dress Kate on her big day after designing the silk frock which first captured Prince William’s eye.
The graduate’s famous dress was plucked from nowhere and modelled by 20-year-old Kate Middleton during a fashion show at St Andrews University in 2002.
Wills watched open-mouthed as leggy Kate sauntered down the catwalk with just black underwear underneath the slinky outfit.
Now pretty Charlotte, who shelved a career in fashion for a job at her local aquarium, is bidding to beat some of the world’s top designers – by making Kate’s wedding dress.
Buoyed by the renewed interest in her designs, Charlotte put her skills to paper and came up with her take on how the princess could look.
Her stunning wedding garment features a knitted column dress with a plunging ‘sweetheart’ neckline – topped by a diamond-encrusted tiara.
She said: ”My design is a knitted column dress with sweetheart neckline and transparent overlay and train.
”Kate may wear it with knitted or lace draped sleeves or added bolero.
”She may also choose a tiara or modern fascinator worn with a traditional full veil.
”I doubt I would be asked to make the dress, but of course I would love to.
”It will be an honour for whoever gets to do it – but if its not me, I would like the designer to be British.
”Maybe I could do it in return for a wedding invitation – it would be lovely to get an invite.”
Several top dressmakers have been tipped to get the nod to design Kate’s wedding gown, including well-known fashion Queens Vivienne Westwood and Vera Wang.
Phillipa Lepley – dubbed ‘designer to the stars’ – is also in the frame after styling both Ulrika Jonsson and Davina McCall when they tied the knot.
Bookies have even given Princess Diana’s wedding dress designer Elizabeth Emanuel odds of 5/1 to be handed the honour on April 29 at Westminster Abbey.
Amateur style guru Charlotte, from Bristol, has been told the catwalk creation Kate wore in 2002 could now be worth over £100,000.
She added: ”I certainly miss being creative with textiles and designs.
”I didn’t really feel like I had broken into the fashion industry before – it is so competitive.
”But in the future – who knows!”
I have a VERY strong feeling that WHOM ever is selected to fashion her WEDDING gown will be chosen for their compatibility and COMPLEMENT to KATE’S taste, not the REST OF THE WORLDS! She is POISED, self-assured, beautiful, intelligent and DEFINITELY NOT SHY! Designers BEWARE! Don’t try to appeal to ANYONE but KATE! Groveling won’t get you “in” EITHER! This will be HER day to show the world she is WILLING, CAPABLE and READY to face the WORLD and her duties that will prepare her to be Queen someday! She will make an
AWESOME PRINCESS and a FANTASTIC FUTURE QUEEN! GOD bless, and GOOD LUCK to a beautiful couple!
The quality of cloths looks very soft I can feel the transparent feel of that clothes

I have a more traditional dress in mind for Princess Catherine’s wedding…..Satin and mirrors….high collar with the Winsors’ Royality datiing back to Henry VIII. Queen Elizabeth being in the large triangle in the center. Tiara with flowing satin and mirrors large enough for the guest to see their faces…light weight, of course, empire top,o clinched waist with layers of satin and small mirrors to catch the sun and cathedral lighting from hip fitting and overlapping to floor….
I could do it in return for a wedding invitation it would be lovely to get an invite
