TV comedian Justin Lee Collins has appeared in court accused of harassing his ex-girlfriend.
The bushy-haired, bearded presenter, 38, had already denied scaring former love Anna Larke to the point where she believed he was going to attack her, at an earlier hearing.
Collins – wearing a smart dark-blue suit with a light-blue open-collared shirt – arrived at St Alban’s Crown Court by taxi and was escorted inside under an umbrella.
No details of the case were heard but a jury panel of nine women and three men were sworn-in for the case.
Judge John Plumstead told court officials it was not necessary for Collins to be flanked by security officers in the dock.
The judge adjourned the case until Wednesday when a trial is expected to begin.
Collins was granted conditional bail, with the condition that he does not contact Ms Larke, her mother, father or brother.
In April the former Friday Night Project presenter denied a charge of putting a person in fear of violence by harassment, between January 1 and August 1 2011, at a previous hearing in April.
If convicted, the stand-up comic turned TV personality, faces up to six months in jail.
