A boyfriend attacked his new lover because she was getting too much attention – at a SWINGER’S party, a court heard.
Jealous Anthony Humphreys, 45, took the woman to the sex party but became angry when she started to join in.
He got ”upset” when he saw her go to a bedroom with two women and SIX men, Torquay Magistrates Court heard.
The court heard Humphreys invited the victim to the party in Buckfastleigh, Devon, shortly after meeting her.
But despite getting ”sexually involved” with another woman at the do he became jealous and argued with his girlfriend on the way home.
The dad-of-four then attacked her – causing injuries to her cheek, temple and head, the court heard.
Divorced Humphreys, of Bristol, pleaded guilty at a previous hearing to assaulting the woman on February 21.
He was given a 12-month community order, sentenced to 100 hours of unpaid work, banned from contacting the victim for a year and ordered to pay her £150 compensation costs.
Prosecutor Karen Ball said Humphreys, said: ”He had not long been in a relationship with the victim when they went to the party.
”The victim went upstairs with the men and women and he became upset with what he saw.
“He later ran at her, running at her with a clenched fist, and hitting her in her left eye. He struck her seven times, causing swelling to her cheek, temple and head.”
Mitigating, Alan Parsons said Humphreys had seen his partner go upstairs with two women and six men, while he was with another woman at the party in a house.
She said he later became angry when his lover received a text message from one of the women at the party.
