I’m a Celebrity 2010 kicked off on Saturday with X Factor’s Stacey Soloman forced to eat a kangaroo penis and Gillian Mckeith annoying the other contestants with her insect phobia.
The contestants, divided into boys vs girls teams named Team Bruce and Team Sheila, were put through a range of telly-themed tasks for the first round of bushtucker trials.
Stacey and rapper Aggros Santos were forced to eat a kangaroo penis in a game called Who Wants To Eat A Willy On Air?
Contestants laughed as Stacey complained: “That’s the ugliest penis I’ve ever seen. His penis is smaller than mine!”
She won the task after swallowing the morsel in the fastest time.
Meanwhile TV nutritionist Gillian McKeith began to irritate the others with her over-the-top reactions to creepy-crawlies.
In a task called Not the Ten O’Clock News insects were dumped on her and fellow contestant Shaun Ryder whilst they guessed whether news headlines were true or false.
Gillian began crying and to be removed from the task.
Gillian, 51, explained: “I have a serious phobia to the point I could faint if I see a spider. I feel like I’m having a heart attack.”
Actress Britt Eckland was unimpressed with her meltdowns and described her as “a child with too much sugar.”
Meanwhile, ex-MP Lembit Opik and Playboy model Kayla Collins were forced to grab stars from a box filled with scorpions, rats and snakes. And Coronation Street actor Nigel Havers was up against Gazza’s Ex Sheryl Gascoigne singing Grease’s Summer Loving while doused in cockroaches, maggots and slime.
Team Sheila were declared the winners and treated to a final night of luxury in a hotel while Team Bruce were forced to sleep in a makeshift camp.
