A football coach has been found guilty of posing as a ”beautiful young girl” online to trick boys into performing sex acts on a webcam.
Kevin Ford, 26, masqueraded as ‘Sarah Sawyer’ on Facebook and targeted boys aged 13 to 15.
He sent them pictures of an attractive teenage girl, sometimes naked, and then persuaded young boys to use a webcam to perform sexual acts so that he could watch.
Ford, a football coach with Soccer Elite in Maidstone, would arrange his camera in a way that meant they could not see him, Maidstone Crown Court was told.
Neil Moore, prosecuting, told jurors that the case involved 12 boys aged between 13 to 15, but that only one was prepared to give evidence.
Ford, of Rochester, Kent, had denied 10 charges of causing a child to engage in sexual activity and two of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity between February and August 2012.
But the jury unanimously convicted him of all charges and he was remanded in custody until November 6 when he will be sentenced.
