A shameless female paedophile has been jailed for just two years after she was found guilty of having sex – with an EIGHT-YEAR-OLD boy.
Loren Morris, 21, began sleeping with the youngster when she turned 16 and had intercourse with him over 50 TIMES.
Worcester Crown Court heard she had regular sex with the lad, who cannot be named for legal reasons, over a two year period until he reached the age of 10.
The mum-of-one was convicted of three charges of sexual intercourse with a child under 16 following a trial last month.
Yesterday she was jailed for two years after Judge Robert Juckes QC said he would be lenient – because she stopped when she realised it was “wrong”.
The sentence means Morris – who grinned broadly as she arrived for court with a cigarette in he mouth – will be back on the streets in just 12 months.
Sentencing Judge Juckes said he had also taken into consideration the “embarrassment” the conviction had caused.
He said: “I make no secret of the fact your case has given me cause for much consideration.
“I have come to the conclusion that due to the concern and embarrassment caused to both you and your family that you will not be offending again, let alone committing sexual offences.
“I am also aware of the affect this will have on your baby.
“I am pleased to hear your parents have started to build bridges with you.
“That does not stop the fact though that you had full sexual intercourse with a child when he was eight to 10 years old – by his evidence it was upwards of fifty times.
“It seems to me that I am bound to pass an immediate custodial sentence.
“I take into account what has been said to me and the fact that you stopped the activity yourself.
“You realised it was wrong rather than being caught and forced to stop.
“Therefore my sentence is one of two years. You will serve 12 months in prison before being released on licence.”
Defending Antonie Mullers told the court Morris was struggling to accept the facts of the case.
He said: “Her immaturity at 21 means she cannot accept the facts yet. She accepts her conviction but with time will accept more.
“Her parents have stepped in and are building bridges, I understand she has met with some of her family.
“This could be stifled by a custodial sentence so I urge your honour or try and suspend it if possible.”
Morris, from Lyde, Herefordshire, will serve two years each for the three counts to be served concurrently.
She was also made subject of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order, banning her from contact with a child under 16 without permission of a parent, and ordered to sign on the Sexual Offenders Register for 10 years.
West Mercia Police confirmed the allegations came to light in March 2013 after the boy, now 14, was overheard by teachers bragging about having sex with Morris .
His school got in touch with officers who then launched an investigation into the historic case.
* In July last year Judge Juckes was criticised for being too lenient after having one of his sentences increased after a case was referred to the Court of Appeal.
It is difficult to add a comment on this without falling foul of the moderator’s black marker. A “victim” who brags of what supposedly victimised him is, to any sensible mind, no victim at all. Now, if a defendant in a similar case stated that a child of eight could have sexual intercourse in any meaning of the term, he would be derided and given a much longer sentence for not understanding that an eight year old cannot have sexual intercourse. Yet here we have a court assuming that such a thing is possible. Should the law be changed?
Gee; no gender bias in the courts here huh? Imagine if a 21 year old MALE had been sexually active with an 8 year old girl over FIFTY times! I wonder what that jail sentence would be. Equality my ass… where are the bemoaning feminists? Give her equality!
