A post mortem into the deaths of a tragic father and daughter found dead at their home in Essex on Saturday today revealed they both died from stab wounds.
Costas Pierides, 48 and daughter Margaret, 16, were discovered at their seven-bedroom £750,000 home in the village of Sible Hedingham, near Braintree, Essex.
Costas was pronounced dead at the detached house, while Margaret was flown to Colchester hospital but later died from her injuries.
The preliminary post mortem results showed that they both died as the result of stab wounds, leading to severe loss of blood.
Essex Police, who began a murder investigation following the discovery of the bodies, are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
A police spokesman said investigations were on-going to establish whether Costas or Margaret was responsible for the tragedy.
He said: ”Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of their deaths, but will be making no further comment at this stage.
”Special police officers are supporting members of the family. It is too early for any public statements from the family.”
