A couple who fell in love as teenagers have finally tied the knot after finding each other on Facebook – 30 years after they were forced to split up.
Lynda Cooper met Andrew Blake when she was 14 and he was a 16-year-old delivery boy who brought a package to her door in Worcester.
They instantly fell in love, but were forced to split two years later when her family moved away.
After 30 years, and both having been married once, they reconnected on social networking site Facebook and decided to meet again in January.
The flame was immediately rekindled and the couple, now 46 and 49, finally married last week.
Besotted plumber Andrew said: ”I’m over the moon. If there was anyone I’d want to spend the rest of my life with, it?s her. We all get there in time.”
Lynda added: ”I was living in Kettering at the time, but when we met again in January I never went home.
”I had always been looking for the love I lost, but I never found true love compared to Drew.
”I cannot explain it. It’s quite surreal that it’s finally happened, I can’t even put it into words. I never thought it would happen, but today proves dreams come true.”
