Former WAG Elen Rivas was left ‘devastated’ after being voted off Dancing On Ice before the real competition has even begun.
TV bosses decided to slash the contestant numbers to six prior to the live rounds. Elen and ex-Neighbours star Craig McLachlan were booted off after being voted in to the bottom three alongside Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe, who then won the skate-off.
Elen, who used to date footballer Frank Lampard, was shocked when the show’s judges, Emma Bunton, Jason Gardiner and Robin Cousins, only awarded her 11 points out of a possible 30.
Jason told her harshly: “Considering you’re Spanish, where was the passion tonight? It was a very disassociated performance with your choreography so you need to work very hard my dear.”
After her departure the model took to her Twitter page, thanking fans for their support and describing herself as “really devastated.”
But she was soon comforted by new love Peter Andre, who tweeted her a message saying: “Personally, I thought you were brill.”
The couple, who went public with their blossoming relationship earlier this month, were spotted enjoying a romantic dinner date ahead of the show at an Italian restaurant in Surrey.
Elen and Craig’s departures leaves Jennifer Metcalfe, Chloe Madeley, Dave Vitty, Sam Attwater, Denise Welch and Dominic Cork in the running. TV presenters Angela Rippon and Nadia Sawalha were voted off last week’s qualifying round.
