A motorist had his car seized by the local council – after racking up £25,000 in unpaid parking fines.
The dozy driver will lose his car if he fails to stump up the £24,962 owed for 153 parking tickets in the north London borough of Haringey.
Haringey Borough Council are using new powers to to impound and sell vehicles belonging to perpetual offenders.
Cllr John Bevan, the council’s cabinet member for environment, said: “It’s appalling that certain drivers think they can park wherever they please.”
