England legend David Beckham left the Tottenham Hotspur playing and coaching staff with a parting gift of pie and mash.
The LA Galaxy midfielder has been training with Spurs for the past six weeks as he keeps up his fitness in preparation for the start of the Major League season.
It was the 35-year-old icon’s last day with the White Hart Lane outfit – so he ordered in the classic London dish of pie and mash for the team’s multi-millionaire stars as a thank you.
Boss Harry Redknapp joked: “You don’t know what it is.
“It’s only us Cockneys that know — I had three actually — I nicked an extra pie.
“I was brought up on it in the East End, it was fantastic.
“He had them delivered but I think some of the foreign lads were not too sure what to make of it — so we had their portions!”
