Latest figures released suggest that a staggering one in nine of the world’s population is undernourished. Although it’s hard to imagine, around 800 million people worldwide are living in chronic hunger.
TryMyKitchen has joined forces with ‘World Hunger Day’ launching an impressive campaign to raise additional awareness and funding between 13th to 28th May.
They are running a sweepstake system; one lucky winner will win a London cooking class. For every 10 entries made, TryMyKitchen will be donating £1 towards the Hunger Project.
The significance of their £1 donation correlates with the amount of people living on £1 or less, per day around the world.
TryMyKitchen will also be donating £5 to The Hunger Project UK, for every booking made between 13th to 28th May.
The Hunger Project is a non-profit organisation, aimed to help end world hunger. Focusing on over 17,000 communities and 12 countries, they seek to empower and develop sustainable solutions for those specifically living on less than £1, to try and end their poverty and hunger.
For those interesting in making a difference and helping beat world hunger, trymykitchen.com have put together a simple 3 step process:
1) Enter their sweepstake to win a London cooking class and they will donate £1 for every 10 entries
2) Book a London cooking class on TryMyKitchen.com and they will instantly donate £5
