Police today revealed missing Bristol woman Joanna Yeates visited two shops before her ”baffling” disappearance.
CCTV images show architect Jo visiting Waitrose and Tesco supermarkets in Clifton, Bristol, as she walked home after a work Christmas drinks party on Friday.
The cream coat Jo is pictured wearing and all her other possessions, including the shopping and store receipts, were found at the flat she shared with long-term boyfriend Greg Reardon.
Greg, 27, returned home from a family trip to Sheffield at 8pm on Sunday to find Jo missing.
He called friends and worried family and alerted the police in the early hours of Monday morning when he found no one had heard from her since Friday.
Greg and Jo’s friends and family had tried to call her over the weekend, but had no answer.
Detective Supt Mark Saunders, who is leading Operation Braid into Jo’s disappearance, urged the public to come forward with any information.
He said: ”We have uncovered CCTV of her road from Friday night and the early hours of Saturday morning and there was a lot of movement on the street.
”There were people in cars and pedestrians and we are asking anyone who may have seen anything to contact us.
”We have further CCTV of Jo in Waitrose in Clifton at around 8.10pm after she left The Ram pub which shows what she was wearing.
”The last sighting we have of her is in Tescos on Regent Street at 8.40pm on Friday. To the best of our knowledge, no one has heard from her from then.
”It is completely baffling. It is very unusual.”
Det Supt Saunders added that Jo had no mental health problems or any apparent reason that would lead to disappearance.
He refused to comment on whether she had been seen on CCTV from her road on Friday night, but said her coat and receipts from the shops were found in the flat.
There were no signs of forced entry and nothing apparently missing from the apartment, which has its own entrance.
Jo and Greg moved into the smart flat, which is on a quiet residential street, a couple of months ago.
Greg left during the day on Friday to visit family in Sheffield and did not return to Bristol until Sunday evening.
He had travelled there in Jo’s car, which the couple shared.
Police today continued their investigation at Jo’s flat and street.
Her devastated parents and Greg returned to the family’s home in Southampton on Tuesday night.
They are expected to return to Bristol tomorrow to make another appeal for help finding Jo.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 0845456 7000 quoting Operation Braid or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
