A seven year-old boy was fighting for his life today after he was mowed down by a van while playing on his SCOOTER.
The youngster was hit by a Vauxhall Combo while riding around a quiet residential road in Hemsby, nr Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called at around 6pm and the boy was quickly flown to the major trauma centre at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
His parents were at his bedside while doctors are treating him for serious head injuries.
The van was removed from the scene on the back of a truck at 9.45pm.
No one else was hurt in the collision. Norfolk Constabulary are appealing for witnesses.
A spokeswoman said: “Enquiries are on going to establish the exact circumstances into the collision.”
