A bogus photographer who assaulted two women he lured to his bedroom for ‘modelling’ sessions has been put on the sex offenders’ register.
Depraved Donald McLaren, 57, advertised himself on a modelling website despite having no photographic qualifications.
He took two unsuspecting young women into his home on the pretence of doing modelling photos and encouraged them to strip to their underwear.
He then molested them as he pretended to take their measurements.
One attack took place as the young woman’s father was in another room.
The distressed women exposed him by leaving comments on the Model Mayhem website.
McLaren, of Chatham, Kent, who is separated from his wife, denied two counts of sexual assault and forced both his victims to give evidence at court.
But he was found guilty by magistrates in Medway, Kent, and was sentenced on Monday.
He was placed on the sex offenders’ register for five years, ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work and pay #200 compensation to each woman plus £850 costs.
Toby Burrows, defending, said: “He has no intention of returning to the field. He did it for the money to increase his income.
“What happened to the two women was wholly out of character.”
