A 17-year-old basketball fanatic claims to have set a world record for the farthest shot of all time – swishing from a staggering 228 feet.
Evan Sellers spent 90 minutes shooting from a 134 foot high platform in Birmingham, Alabama before successfully completing the shot.
The American is part of ‘The Legendary Shots’, a group of talented basketball players who film themselves pulling off near-impossible throws.
The group’s founder, Carson Stalnaker told Yahoo: “We thought it was a big deal when 50 people saw one of our shots on YouTube, let alone the millions who have ever seen them now. It’s been pretty crazy, but it’s been a lot of fun too.”
Following a succession of amazing feats and appearances on TV, the group have become cult icons stateside with their Youtube videos watched six million times.
