Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll is reportedly on his way to Liverpool to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical ahead of a spectacular £35 million move to Anfield.
It’s highly likely the 21-year-old will be replacing Fernando Torres as the club’s new number 9 if the Spaniard moves to Chelsea.

At £35 million, the deal stands to make him the most expensive English footballer of all time, despite having just one international cap to his name.
It will also make him the eighth most expensive player of all time, behind the likes of Ronaldo (£80m), Kaka and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (£56m) and, if the deal goes through, Fernando Torres (£50m).
